5 Mile Run:

1 Mile Run:

$25 from September 10th-October 16th

Half Marathon Shadow Runner – Run at Home and Get an Awesome Medal & Shirt!
$30* until October 12th
*Promo code discounts do not apply.  The shadow runner category is for people that are unable to join us on race day, but still want to run the 10 mile distance in their own local area.  It is based on an honor system.  We mail shadow runners a finisher medal and a shirt the week after the race. We do not allow transfers into the Shadow Runner category if you are already registered.

Changing Race Distances:
Click on MY ACCOUNT at the top menu bar.
Log-in and then click on My Registered Races under Running Links (bottom of page).

Find your Registered Race then click on the blue View/Edit Registration link.

Click on the green Transfer Event tab then click on the green Start Transfer button.
If the new event is priced higher than the current event, you will be prompted to pay the difference.
If the new event is priced lower than the current event, they will not be prompted to pay anything.
NOTE: The current deadline to transfer between events is 14 days BEFORE race day. If you did not create a SPORToften account when you registered, your email address is your default username. Click on Forgot Password to obtain a temporary password and proceed to log-in.
Updating T-Shirt Sizes & Questions:
Click on MY ACCOUNT at the top menu bar.
Log-in and then click on My Registered Races under Running Links (bottom of page).
Find your Registered Race then click on the blue View/Edit Registration link.
Click on the green Questions tab.
Update your shirt size and/or answers to the questions.
Click on the green UPDATE RESPONSES button at the bottom.
NOTE: You can update you t-shirt size & questions until 9/15/2015. If you did not create a SPORToften account when you registered, your email address is your default username. Click on Forgot Password to obtain a temporary password and proceed to log-in.

Registration Deadlines:
Online registration closes on Friday, Oct 16th at 11:59 AM. In-person will be available only at the expo on Saturday, October 17th, but NOT on race day.

Restrictions:
For safety purposes and logistics management, baby strollers and pets are NOT allowed in the Half Marathon, 5 Mile Run, or 1 Mile Run. No exceptions will be made. Littering on the course will result in disqualification.

Refunds & Transfers:
All registration fees are non-refundable. Event registrations are non-transferable between individuals, events, or years.

7:30 AM: Half Marathon & 5 Mile Run | Blackwell St & Vivian St
7:45 AM: 1 Mile Run | Julian Carr St

Road Closures on Race Day:
-Jackie Robinson St at the 147 Ramp in front of the Durham Bulls Stadium – closed from 5:00-11:00 AM
-Willard St at Blackwell St – closed from 5:00-11:00 AM
-Blackwell St between Morehead Ave and W. Pettigrew St closed – closed from 5:00-11:00 AM
-All other roads used for the race course will close and re-open once the last runner passes. Please refer to the [Road Closures Chart] for more information.

Important Start Line Logistics:
Please begin lining up behind the start line on Blackwell St between 7:00-7:15 AM. Look for signage indicating your predicted pace and line up accordingly. Important pre-race announcements will be made at 7:20 AM and the race will start promptly at 7:30 AM.

Official Pace Team:
If you’ve got a specific goal race pace in mind, be sure to follow Official Pace Team runners. There will be groups running at 30 second intervals from a 6:30 to 10:30 per mile pace.  No pre-race sign-up required. Just look for the  Pace Runner shirts at the start line.

Bag Check:
Available from 5:00-10:45 AM on race day at the Durham Bulls Stadium entrance on Blackwell St on the American Tobacco Campus (very close to the start line).
Please provide your own bag and do not give us your valuables.

Food Truck Rodeo
After racing across the finish line, The Food Truck Rodeo will be ready and waiting for you. While most trucks take credit cards you may want to bring some cash to ensure you can get your favorite sweet and savory treats!!

Portojons:
Located near the start line on Blackwell St and under the overpass by the Durham Bulls stadium. Please do NOT enter the American Tobacco Campus building lobbies for any reason, including using their restrooms.

MINIMUM PACE REQUIREMENT:
Participants must maintain a minimum pace of 15:00/mile to participate in this event. This rule in place to enable Durham Police to reopen the major roads used for race course. It is suggested that you train at a minimum of 14-minute per mile pace. Thank you for your understanding.

Top 3 Male & Female: overall, masters, age groups: 12 & under, 13-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 & over. Sorry, we do not ship awards.

5 Mile Run:

Costume Contest
Join the FUN with our 2nd Annual Bull City Race Fest Costume Contest! Cash prizes will be award to the best individual and group costumes!
Group & Individual Winners – 1st :$200, 2nd :$100, 3rd :$50

TIMING:
All runners will be provided with race bibs with timing chips attached to the back. It is very important that the race number be worn on the front of your shirt to ensure that it works properly. In accordance with USATF Rules, overall and cash awards will be determined by gun time while age group awards will be determined by your chip time.

WEATHER POLICY:
Races are held, rain or shine, unless Endurance Magazine determines that conditions are too dangerous. This will be based on a prudent decision made on race weekend or race day Endurance Magazine and local law enforcement officials. If the race is canceled due to inclement weather there will be neither refunds nor transfers. This position is consistent with USA Track & Field recommendations and with the protocol of sharing the risks associated with the sport of running. In the event of inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances, Endurance Magazine reserves the right to alter, cancel or eliminate any/all portions of the race.
